As Los Angeles Client Account Manager for CH2M, I have responsibilities of bringing solutions to our clients most complex infrastructure challenges. I am a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas (PE), Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) and a certified Envision™ Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) with over 15 years of diverse industry experience. I utilizes my skillset to support multiple business roles in the areas of management, technical, business development, government affairs, and community relations. I am involved in multiple civic and non-profit organizations in the area and have served in various leadership roles including: President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) San Antonio Chapter, and Chair of Enlace which is the CH2M Latino/Hispanic Employee Network Group.

Ibarra_bianchetta_volunteerWhen I joined CH2M in 2007, one of the first things I noticed about working here was the culture of commitment to community investment. The culture, combined with my personal and professional goals of giving back, provides a positive synergy that is truly indescribable.

I am from a small town in South Texas (Laredo) right at the border with Mexico and growing up, I excelled at math and science studies. I heard “engineer” for a career but never understood what engineers did. It was because of community investment programs that I was able to understand what engineers did and in combination with a strong tightknit family, I started my journey into an engineering field. Because of the outreach to me growing up, giving back has always been one of my highest personal and professional responsibilities. Therefore, I am extremely proud and honored to serve on the CH2M Foundation Board of Directors. The investment programs that the firm supports offer opportunities to combine our everyday work with the community to get a real understanding of how the work we do affects others. Interaction with our communities reinvigorates that spark in me that led me to engineering in the first place. What a powerful combination that is summarized best by Sir Winston Churchill, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

When I am not at work you can find me trying to keep up with my twin boys–which is really hard to do! I enjoy cooking, exercising, reading, dancing and anything related to the arts. I am also a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. Hook ‘em Horns!
