Steve Mathews

CH2M HILL Treasurer

As CH2M's treasurer, I have daily involvement in our operations around the world, including the funding of those operations at a company-wide and individual project level. I have more than 30 years of finance experience in the energy and engineering & construction industries. Before joining CH2M in 2010, I was director and treasurer with KBR, Inc. My experience includes arranging syndicated bank facilities, managing foreign exchange risk, arranging project performance guarantees and handling global cash management, pension and trust investments, leasing and due diligence on merger and acquisition transactions. In addition to my treasury duties, I have responsibility for the Travel and Employee Ownership programs at CH2M. I hold the chartered financial analyst designation from the CFA Institute and am a member of Financial Executives International. Volunteering has been a personal passion of mine for years and I have enjoyed organizing fundraisers for an orphanage in Texas and audio recording periodicals for sight-challenged patrons of Taping for the Blind (Houston, Texas) and Audio Information Network of Colorado. I’m looking forward to serving on the CH2M Foundation and want to go beyond the baseline of “first, do no harm” and create a net gain of solutions for our communities.

Patrick O’Keefe

CH2M Senior Vice President & Key Account Manager

I work in our fantastic sales organization. I began my career as an intern with the Colorado state legislature before moving to Washington D.C. to work for Colorado Congressman Dan Schaefer, where I had the opportunity to work on key energy, environmental and health care policy issues. I joined CH2M in 2000 and have supported our government affairs office, the Rocky Flats Cleanup Project, business development, and most recently served as Regional Managing Director for the United States. I’m a proud dad of three and enjoy coaching them in various sports. I think volunteer coaching is one of the most rewarding ways to donate your time. The kids are great and watching them develop life skills and gain confidence is fantastic….it also keeps you out of the spectator area with the other, and sometimes fanatical, parents. Growing up during the chilly winters of Fargo, North Dakota, I still have a passion for ice hockey and enjoy golf and skiing. Our people make a difference in communities around the world through their daily work. The CH2M Foundation reinforces their commitment by focusing on areas of critical importance to our employees and the communities we serve.

I serve as Area Manager for several CH2M offices in Florida as well as the Geographic Market Lead for Florida, overseeing Business Development. Additionally, I serve as vice chair on the Goodwill Board of Directors, whose mission is to put people back to work through the donations received by the local community. I am honored to join the foundation to continue the great deeds of our company. CH2M has always prided itself on being a contributing member of the communities where we serve. I look forward to continued service and to help others through our foundation. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife Janelle, my daughter Sophie and my son Max. Judith Ibarra-Bianchetta, PE, CFM, ENV SP

CH2M Los Angeles Client Account Manager, Water Business Group

As Los Angeles Client Account Manager for CH2M, I have responsibilities of bringing solutions to our clients most complex infrastructure challenges. I am a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas (PE), Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) and a certified Envision™ Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) with over 15 years of diverse industry experience. I utilizes my skillset to support multiple business roles in the areas of management, technical, business development, government affairs, and community relations. I am involved in multiple civic and non-profit organizations in the area and have served in various leadership roles including: President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) San Antonio Chapter, and Chair of Enlace which is the CH2M Latino/Hispanic Employee Network Group. Ibarra_bianchetta_volunteerWhen I joined CH2M in 2007, one of the first things I noticed about working here was the culture of commitment to community investment. The culture, combined with my personal and professional goals of giving back, provides a positive synergy that is truly indescribable. I am from a small town in South Texas (Laredo) right at the border with Mexico and growing up, I excelled at math and science studies. I heard “engineer” for a career but never understood what engineers did. It was because of community investment programs that I was able to understand what engineers did and in combination with a strong tightknit family, I started my journey into an engineering field. Because of the outreach to me growing up, giving back has always been one of my highest personal and professional responsibilities. Therefore, I am extremely proud and honored to serve on the CH2M Foundation Board of Directors. The investment programs that the firm supports offer opportunities to combine our everyday work with the community to get a real understanding of how the work we do affects others. Interaction with our communities reinvigorates that spark in me that led me to engineering in the first place. What a powerful combination that is summarized best by Sir Winston Churchill, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” When I am not at work you can find me trying to keep up with my twin boys–which is really hard to do! I enjoy cooking, exercising, reading, dancing and anything related to the arts. I am also a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. Hook ‘em Horns!

Rachel White

CH2M European Sales Director

At CH2M, I manage a key client account and am responsible for leading our sales strategy across in Europe. I joined CH2M through its acquisition of Halcrow, where I worked for 11 years in a variety of roles including managing a global project delivery programme. I believe passionately that CH2M has a responsibility to our staff, clients and communities in which we work to promote our vision and core values. When employees are engaged in something they really believe in, everyone benefits. The CH2M Foundation provides a unique opportunity to do this. At a personal level I volunteer for my local community board, which allows me to bring my professional and business skills to support community projects. I also lecture at a number of universities on STEM subjects and am keen to promote apprenticeships and mentoring across our industry. I am excited to be a part of the CH2M Foundation and I am looking forward to being a part of the projects that the foundation will support.
